Day 1 In Singapore: Gardens By The Bay

We had been talking about taking a trip to Singapore for years and this time our plan finally worked it out. We were invited to a distant relative's wedding and since they offered us free accommodation of course we wouldn't want to miss the chance. My mum drove all the way heading south, starting from our house in Sitiawan, halfway picking up my sister at her hostel in Malacca, my dad only took turn to drive when we arrived in Singapore.

After facing my fear of heights in the Singapore Flyer luxurious capsule, we went for a relaxing walk at Gardens by The Bay, only to realise the bay is a hugeeeeee brand new tourist attraction made up of a lot of sections, there was the Supertree Grove, Dragofly Lake, The Meadow, Artscience Museum, Marina Bay Sands Hotel to name a few, and we ended up spending the whole day in there. Admission to the garden is free but you have to pay an extra sgd5 or something to enter the domes and the OCBC skyway for a more interesting view.

If you're ever visiting there don't forget to stay until night to watch the light and sound show at the supertree grove. It's a really terrific thing to experience.
